How much milk can I send for preservation?
We designed three easy packages to cover smaller amounts of Breast Milk or large stashes. Our Starter Package (up to 150 oz) is perfect for those with smaller quantities, and customers just wanting to test our freeze drying. Our Everyday and Legacy Packages are designed to handle larger volumes for long-term storage needs.
How long does the freeze-drying process take?
Each freeze-drying batch can take up to 48 hours to complete. Since larger packages may require multiple batches, total processing time varies based on the amount of milk we receive. Our Starter Package is typically completed within 2–3 days, our Everyday Package within 3–5 days, and our Legacy Package within 6–8 days. Once complete, your milk is carefully packaged and prepared for safe return.
How do I rehydrate the preserved milk?
Start with a clean bottle and purified warm water. Using the rehydration guide provided with your order, measure the appropriate amount of breastmilk powder and add it to the bottle. For the most accurate rehydration, we highly recommend measuring powder in grams whenever possible. Some natural milk fats may take slightly longer to blend (up to 5 minutes). Once rehydrated, prepared milk should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours. Discard any remaining milk after feeding.
Why your finish packaging is weighed in grams not ounces.
Breast milk is usually pumped and stored in liquid ounces, but once it is freeze-dried, it becomes a lightweight powder that must be measured by weight rather than liquid volume. For accuracy, your finished milk is packaged and labeled in grams. This allows us to ensure the correct amount of dried milk is in each package and helps you follow the rehydration guide as precisely as possible. Measuring by grams provides the most consistent and accurate rehydration results.
